Training in PostgreSQL’s very user-friendly database administration functions. This training is for new database administrators and/or database administrators who have experience with Oracle or DB2. Training duration = 5 to 10 days based on your experience.

Database Conversion Analysis

Analyzing your database; determining the extent of the database conversion effort; providing cost estimates (for more extensive database conversions done by Bull); providing helpful hints (for simpler database conversions done by you).

Stored Procedure Conversion

Bull has developed a tool for translating Oracle PL/SQL Packages, Procedures and Functions to Postgres plpgsql functions. This tool has the capability to translate a wide variety of PL/SQL constructs including package global variables and arrays, SQL differences such as OUTER JOIN and CONNECT BY, function and procedure calls, as well as data type translation etc.,. If you have been considering moving to Postgres but have been concerned about the difficulty of moving your PL/SQL then this could be the solution for you. We recommend that you first obtain a free copy of our evaluation tool which  you can run to generate a profile of your PL/SQL. The tool will produce a report (.csv file) that we will analyze to identify any areas that may be of concern. Once we complete the analysis we will produce a report and work with you to develop a PL/SQL migration strategy.
